Zolciak left during the fifth season, leaving NeNe Leakes to be the only original cast member standing. She said it was physical issues with co-stars like Sheree Whitfield and the moment she nearly came to blows with Leakes that made her depart.

“The violence…Sheree pulling my wig and just wine glasses flying, it’s just insane. I don’t do well around it. We can use our words… I never grew up around that. So for me it was really harsh.”

She said things took an even more intense turn when she was pregnant with her son, Kash.

“There was literally screaming and yelling and so much chaos. I just said I can’t do this anymore. I knew my blood pressure was fine until I started filming that season. And then it was through the roof. I had to choose my child…”


Fans might remember Zolciak’s final scene on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Her co-stars were blasting her for stepping out of a girls’ trip. They felt she was acting different after she married Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann. Zolciak reiterated that she didn’t feel comfortable traveling as she was far into her pregnancy.
