The defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants (7-5) feel as though they need to run the gamut in their remaining four regular season matchups to prevail in the NFC East. However, the New Orleans Saints (5-7) must do the same just to remain relevant, as they struggle to reach the .500 mark.

With a loss to the Saints at MetLife Stadium, the Giants could very well find their lead atop its division completely gone while another tally in the losing column for the Saints would almost certainly assure that they wouldn't make it into the playoffs.

New York has lost three out of its last four matchups, watching their 2 ½ game cushion atop its division shrink to just one ahead of the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins.

Proceeding New York's 17-16 loss to the Redskins, another defeat at the hands of New Orleans would serve to further complicate their own playoff hopes.

Following their game with the Saints, the Giants will head to Atlanta and Baltimore before hosting Philadelphia in the final week of the season.

"I am looking at it one game at a time, knowing full well it's a four-game season and we have to win really every one of our games. That's how I look at it. It's going to be win the games that are presented, the one that is right in front of you," coach Tom Coughlin told ESPN.

The Giants are no strangers to prevailing with its backs against the wall, as they were able to win three out of its final four games as they barely made the playoffs with a 9-7 record, ultimately winning it all by the end.
