Vicki Gunvalson is going through a difficult time after splitting from her boyfriend of four years, Brooks Ayers.

In her Bravo blog, the Real Housewives of Orange County star spoke of her split, which she announced on Facebook on Sunday, and thanked fans who have supported her throughout her relationship struggles.

"Thank you to those of you that have sent any kind words and messages regarding Brooks and my recent breakup," Gunvalson wrote to fans on Tuesday. "It was a very difficult decision, but one that we feel is right for our lives at this time. We looked at our future, and realized that although we love each other we were not meant to be together forever."

"I wish him the very best in his journey of beating this cancer and pray for his continued healing and I am hopeful we can remain friends," she continued. "I ask that you be kind to us and not to judge either one of us. We are both experiencing a lot of pain right now, and ask for you to lift us up in prayer for strength during this difficult time."

While there have been a number of reports claiming Gunvalson and Ayers' split was not amicable, they have both been active on Twitter, seemingly denying there is any bad blood between them.
