New behind-the-scenes photos of Lady Gaga in FX's American Horror Story: Hotel have been released.

Gaga wears a long magenta dress with a cape in new photos released via Twitter. She also sports a metal gauntlet/glove on her hand, the same one seen in the first teaser trailer for Hotel. Her blonde hair is done up very elaborately and she has the overall appearance of a woman of high social class.

 

The pop superstar is set to play Elizabeth, also referred to as The Countess. Elizabeth owns the Cortez Hotel and is a member of high society. She is obsessed with art, fashion and people, much like Gaga herself.

Elizabeth will have "relationships" with three characters in Hotel: hotel tenant Donovan (Matt Bomer), fashion icon Will Drake (Cheyenne Jackson) and actress Ramona Royale (Angela Bassett). The extent of those relationships is not yet known.

Gaga will be in eight out of 13 episodes, which should not be too much of a shock given how busy her schedule tends to be. But by the sound of it, this won't be another Adam Levine situation. The lead singer of Maroon 5 was heavily featured in promos for American Horror Story: Asylum but his presence on the show was very minor, only factoring into the first few episodes.

Gaga is said to be a regular on the show and will likely make enough of an impression.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
