A student from Utah's Brigham Young University has started an unusual business by renting puppies by the hour.

Jenna Millers started her puppy rental service in August this year, and has since had over 100 rentals.

For those who love puppies but cannot take on the full responsibility of looking after a pet, the adorable dogs can be rented for $15 per hour, and $25 for two hours.

Fox News reports that the puppies are taken by Miller from those who are unable to look after them. Miller says the puppies are up to date with their vaccinations.

"They sign a waiver basically contracting to treat the puppy well and it's like a liability agreement," Miller said. She delivers the puppies herself to her customers.

But not everyone agrees with Miller's business. Carl Arky from the Utah Humane Society says that renting out puppies is not a good idea. "They need consistency, they need stability, they need training and to pass them around as though they're some sort of an accessory - we don't think is a good idea," Arky said. "There's no commitment when you're renting an animal."

However, Miller says her ultimate goal for this business is to find a permanent home for the puppies. "Our goal is to try to adopt them out by the time they're 12 weeks and we've had 100 percent success with that," Miller said.

So far, Miller has seven puppies which she rents out, adopting each for a $200.
