Griffiths was a coach for a gymnastics group called Spellbound who won Britain's Got Talent in 2010. According to Saturday's report from The Telegraph, he was accused of child cruelty, but the charges have been dropped. Friends of his are saying that these charges came from a "witch hunt" by parents of kids he trained.

There have been a number of people who have taken Griffiths' side since the scandal started, and the coach, himself, apparently always claimed he didn't commit any type of cruel acts.

"I have been through hell for the last 18 months," he said. "I have lost my job and my livelihood, despite always knowing I was innocent. I'm grateful for all the support I've received, but devastated that the good name I have built up over 15 years in the sport, training British, European and world champions, has been tarnished and called into question."

At this point in his life, Griffiths just wants to get back on his feet again and do what he enjoys most.

"That matter should never have been dragged on as long as it did or been allowed to go as far as it did," he said. "I now want the chance to return to acrobatic gymnastics and to the job I love."
