Following the overwhelming response the TLC program "Breaking Amish" has received, its producers are now set to launch another similar program titled "Amish Mafia," which premieres Wednesday night at 9 p.m. ET on the Discovery channel.

The latest Amish series will feature four alleged fixers in the Lancaster County, Pa. area. The leader of the respective mob is Lebanon Levi, who is the coordinator behind the Amish insurance fund in a community that doesn't take standard policies.

While the group is known to reject modern technology luxuries such as cars and electricity, the Amish boss actually drives a Cadillac.

The Amish enforcers assist in maintaining proper conduct amid a religious community by doing justice that the local church can't afford to be associated with. When the going gets rough, the fixers supposedly look for retribution.

Tough guy antics aside, the fixers are seen locally as quiet and quaint. They are also known by many for their handmade goods, as well as organic foods.

The first episode of "Amish Mafia" will feature the fixers locating the driver of a vehicle that struck a buggy. The group will also be confronting a well-known community leader that's regularly sneaking away to a motel for daily trysts with a prostitute.

An early warning states that the show will have "select re-enactments" and that "re-creations are based on eyewitness accounts, testimonials and the legend of the Amish Mafia."

Another disclaimer reads that the "The Amish church denies the existence of the Amish Mafia."

According to ABC News, media critic Michael Levine stated that "Reality television and the Amish are really a match made in TV heaven."

Although it surely will be entertaining, the show does possess a fictional feel that's reinforced by its clumsy confrontations, which are seemingly "stiff and awkward even for Amish country," according to The New York Times.
