The first review for Netflix's Longmire is in, and thankfully it's a good one.

The New 'Longmire' Trailer Features Vic Telling Walt, 'I Will Lie For You'

Longmire's fourth season, the first with popular subscription service Netflix, will still be the same Longmire fans know and love. With the new season coming out in less than 24 hours, what can diehard fans expect to see?

Well, Brian Tallerico of RogerEbert.com has written the first review for the Western drama's fourth season, and he believes the show benefits from a Netflix model.

Native American Issues Explored In 'Longmire' Season 4

"Watching 'Longmire,' I realized how well suited this kind of show is for a streaming service," he writes. "With a show like 'House of Cards,' you know one more episode really isn't going to resolve anything. With a show like 'Longmire,' it's always going to be tempting to watch just "one more mystery."

The new season will still have the same standalone mysteries present throughout the series, but this time with the addition of an overarching storyline.

"And what's surprising about these [first] three episodes is how cleanly the creators interweave standalone stories with an overall arc," he writes.

Season 4 picks up where season 3 left off, with Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) discovering the identity of his wife's murderer. Tallerico writes that this will "serve as backdrop to a tragedy" that Walt must deal with.

Longmire season 4 will be released Friday on Netflix. All 10 episodes will be available at once, while the first three seasons are also available to stream.
