The first official trailer for Marvel's Jessica Jones was released Thursday, featuring some beautiful imagery previewing what fans can expect from the Netflix series.

Netflix released the first trailer for Marvel's Jessica Jones, which centers on the titular Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad). The trailer has a purple and black color scheme as it teases various elements of Jessica Jones' story, including the radioactive spill that gave her her superpowers.

Marvel's Jessica Jones is the second TV show in Marvel's anthology of Netflix shows about The Defenders. This group, which is like a street version of The Avengers, comprises of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Marvel's Daredevil was released to Netflix back in April to critical and fan success. Series for Luke Cage and Iron Fist will be released at a later date. All four shows will lead up to its own Avengers-style show called Marvel's The Defenders.

Marvel's Jessica Jones also stars David Tennant (Dr. Who) as Kilgrave, Mike Colter (Halo franchise) as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor (Grey's Anatomy) as Trish "Patsy" Walker and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) as Harper.

Marvel's Jessica Jones will be released in full on Nov. 20 on Netflix.
