The Vampire Diaries' new season is getting closer to its airdate and with that in mind The CW Television Network's YouTube channel gifted fans on Friday with an epic teaser trailer of what is to come for Stefan (Paul Wesley), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and the rest of the gang.

Actress Teases Images From Cast Shooting Party Scenes For 'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7

In the trailer, which is called Run, it shows there is a great divide between Lily (Annie Wersching) and her heretics and everyone else, especially Stefan, Damon, Bonnie (Kat Graham), Caroline (Candice Accola), Matt (Zach Roerig) and even possibly Enzo (Michael Malarkey).

Damon's voice opens the trailer as he states, "Want to tell me who the hell is living in our house?"

In the trailer it is abundantly clear Lily and her other family took over in Mystic Falls.

"The deal has been made," Stefan reveals to Damon in a clip, adding, "We don't mess with them, they don't mess with us."

Caroline is seen talking to someone in another part of the trailer, asking, "Are we making a huge mistake handing over our hometown to a bunch of supernatural terrorists?"

It looks as though it was Stefan since he then says, "Yeah, probably."

More clips of the heretics causing chaos in town are shown and then Bonnie is seen claiming she and the others need to stop the heretics.

Lily even offers up "motherly advice" to Stefan, in which she tells him to "run".

It doesn't look like Stefan will be running though since he is seen asking for someone to teach him "how to make a bomb."

Damon, of course, will be snarky as he lounges in the final clip and asks whomever he is on the phone with, "About how long do we have before this evil engulfs the world? Just trying to plan my week."

It is going to be an epic, action-packed season. Watch the entire trailer below.

The series returns to The CW in the fall for season 7 on Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET.
