The San Francisco 49ers (10-3) will face off against the Seattle Seahawks (9-5) in what surely will be an exciting "Sunday Night Football" showdown. The game is a crucial game for the 49ers, who need one more victory for to earn its second straight NFC West crown.

However, the challenge will almost certainly not be a cakewalk, as San Francisco must accomplish what no other Seahawks' opponent has yet to do, defeat Seattle at CenturyLink Field.

The 49ers top-notch defense will be in for a major challenge against the Seahawks, when they attempt to put a stop to QB Russell Wilson and Seattle's high-scoring offense.

The Seahawks became the first club in 62 years to put up at least 50 points in two straight weeks when they blew out the Arizona Cardinals by a 58-0 margin on Dec. 9.

Last Sunday, San Francisco was nearly in trouble when the Seahawks dominated the Buffalo Bills 50-17, but they instead put on an impressive showing by overcoming the AFC East champion New England Patriots by a score of 41-34.

"Our team has now hung in a lot of big-time pressure games. They've overcome adversity. They've shown they can do that," coach Jim Harbaugh told ESPN.

When it comes to points allowed per game (15.6), the 49ers possess the best defense in the NFL and are second in terms of total yards (293.0). However, Seattle's defenders haven't been playing too shabby themselves as of late.

"The Seahawks are a hot team right now. Their defense is playing great. Their offense is putting up points. So we have to be ready," quarterback Colin Kaepernick said.
