"Boy Meets World" star Rider Strong is engaged to his longtime girlfriend Alexandra Barreto, according to E! News.

The former heartthrob who appeared in the 1990s hit show, reportedly made the engagement ring, according to E! News.

"He proposed with a handmade ring he created himself," his representative told the publication. See Alexandra Barreto's Photo Here.

Strong and Barreto reportedly met while working on the 2006 series "Pepper Dennis," about a reporter aspiring to become the anchor of a top rated news broadcast. They also worked together on a campaign video for Barack Obama.

Barreto appeared in a minor role in the 2000 Disney film "The Kid" starring Bruce Willies, according to the Internet Movie Data Base.

She has also had minor roles in various TV shows including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI:NY among others.

When the sequel of "Boy Meets World" was announced in November, Strong clarified that he will not be appearing.

"At this point, I have no official involvement," he said. "There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot, and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years."

A Disney Channel rep. confirmed that Ben Savage who starred as Cory Matthews, and Danielle Fishel who starred as Topanga Lawrence in the original series, will reprise their hugely popular roles in the reboot "Girl Meets World."

In the sequel, Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence will be happily married and have a 13-year-old daughter named Riley.

"The pilot is still in the very early stages of development with creator and executive producer Michael Jacobs," the Disney Channel told E! News.

Savage was very excited by the news and posted a message to his Twitter account following the announcement.

"I'm going to be a father! Well, on TV at least. The 'Boy Meets World' sequel is officially happening."

Fishel posted a message on her blog about the news as well.

"Because I have known Michael Jacobs, Ben Savage, Rider Strong, Will Friedle, and Bill Daniels for 19 years, I know we share many of the same feelings regarding the 7 wonderful years we spent making BMW" she said.

"Those years were among the most warm, hilarious, insightful, educational years of my life and I wouldn't trade them for the world. Another thing I wouldn't trade for anything is the integrity and the heart with which BMW was made."

Fishel also promised that she will make "Girl Meets World" with the same "honesty, innocence, and intelligence" as "Boy Meets World."
