Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen visited Nairobi, Kenya on Friday to raise awareness about the lack of electricity in some regions of the world.

This was the first official visit to Africa for Bündchen who is an advocate for the United Nations' Environment Programme.

"It's unjust if people do not have access to electricity. Energy for all is achievable. Just 2 percent of global investment is needed," the Brazilian Victoria Secret's beauty said.

he reportedly visited slums to experience the difficulties of families living without electricity.

Bündchen looked at the biogas centers that turn human waste into power and visited other electricity facilities.

"We don't hear about this and yet the solutions are so simple," added Bündchen, who has recently been named the 'world's greenest celebrity'.

"When we come out of our bubbles and travel, you experience what I did in Kenya and it's amazing how we can change our viewpoints You ask what can we do in our daily lives to make change. Everybody can help in a different way," she said.
