Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs Galaxy S3: Which Device is the Best Smartphone?
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs. Samsung Galaxy S3 is an important one for smartphone lovers of Android devices, especially those who want larger screens combined with top functionality.
With these two handsets Samsung has outdone itself, meaning that this contest is not so much a contest based on which is the speedier device or which has the better display quality - as both have top notch specs when it comes to those features. But this battle basically boils down to which size does the user prefer.
So anyone thinking of which of these two devices to get, the questions at the top of the list should be, “Which smartphone better suits my needs?”
If you are looking for convenience and a true smartphone, then the Samsung Galaxy S3 is probably the device for you. The Galaxy S3 comes with a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display which is more than enough for giving users a fantastic movies and games experience.
The Galaxy S3 is obviously easier to carry around in your pocket due to the slightly smaller screen size, but if that is not a problem for you then you might consider the Galaxy Note 2.
The Note 2 features a 5.5-inch display with more or less a similar screen quality as the Galaxy S3.
The extra size does obviously offer a better experience for gaming, surfing and such things, but the convenience level also goes down as much as the usability goes up.
If you are someone who carries your smartphone around in your bag then the difference in carrying around the Galaxy S3 and the Note 2 should be negligible. In that case the Note 2 might be a better device if screen size is important to you. It has a little more kick in power than the S3 with a quad-core processor. Multi-tasking is made easier and the S Pen is also a nice feature than many users find useful.
However, if you are a pocket carrier then you need to seriously consider whether you mind the larger screen in your pocket that the Note 2 provides. The S3 screen size is more than enough for many people and is considerably bigger than many of its market competitors out there.
The S3 is definitely more of a competitor with Apple’s iPhone, as both are true smartphones in every sense of the word. Where as the Note 2 provides a dash of tablet-feel to it, and markets itself as such.
