A reported 15 people have died and more than 20 have been injured in an active shooting situation at an Oregon Community College.

The incident occurred at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg Thursday afternoon.

"There is a situation going on out there but we don't have any more information at this time,"Douglas County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dwes Hutson told CNN.

KATU news reports that police have confirmed 15 people are dead, and a reported minimum 20 people are injured.

CBS 6 has reported that the shooter had been detained, though no other details are currently available at this time.

UPDATE 2:54 p.m.: Douglas County Fire Marshall Ray Shoufler confirms to CNN that multiple people are dead at the scene to CNN. He say that two of 11 people evacuated to the hospital have died from their injuries. Shoufler says that the shooting occurred inside the school and started in a classroom.

UPDATE 2:55 p.m.:
One student appears to have live tweeted from the campus as the shooting was happening.

UPDATE 3:11 p.m.: Students are reportedly being bused off the cllege's campus.

UPDATE 3:20 p.m.: CNN is reporting that the shooting took place in the school's science building.

UPDATE 3:22 p.m.: Initial reports that 15 were dead are being adjusted back down to at least 10.

UPDATE 4:43 p.m.: The Douglas County Sheriff has confirmed that the shooter was male and is now deceased
