Michelle Knight has given positive words of wisdom on seeing things deeper than they truly are.

Michelle Knight Is All Smiles On Social Media

On Wednesday, the woman who was held captive in a suburban house in Clevaland for more than a decade, took to her Facebook page to post a closeup shot of her colorful eyes. As she stares intently into the camera, she captioned the picture by letting people know that they should see others more than what's skin deep.

"Don't judge a book by its cover remember to look deeper," Knight wrote. "Your soul is in the eyes of the beholder."

Gina DeJesus Throws First Pitch At Rubberducks Game

A number of fans commented on the picture by telling Knight how powerful she is for being able to go on with her life after suffering years of abuse. One user wrote, "I tear up to know how strong you are and you were put through hell he took so much from you but never took your soul and will to survive."

In 2002, a man named Ariel Castro gave Knight a ride when he stopped by his house. When she walked in, her captivity began when she was beaten, raped and chained to a bed. As time went on, two other girls- Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus- got trapped inside Catro's house. All three girls found their freedom in 2013 and have been moving forward with their lives.

Castro was sentenced to life in prison. He killed himself a month into his sentence.
