Imagine the premise that Hitler is back from the dead in multicultural modern day Germany: it's a recipe for the perfect comedy.

Look Who's Back resuscitates the infamous dictator, 70 years hence, and amusingly enough lands him with a job in television, as he ends up making a spectacle of himself with his ideology and views which are interpreted as being comical in these times. He is perceived as being an exemplary comedian.

In a clip -- posted over at The Guardian -- from the film, which is in German, he is seen interacting with people from different cultures, some he would have most certainly have sent away, and seeming a bit lost. Some people on the streets look surprised, confounded by his look. In another trailer for the film he is seen struggling with computers as a colleaugue tries to assist him in the office. After being amused by the machine, he is astounded by the powers of the internet. According to a Deadline report the movie has been a massive success in Germany, making $10 million in its first two weeks with over a million admissions.

The report also reveals that the movie has been picked up by Beta cinema for international sales.

German actor Oliver Masucci portrays Hitler in the film, which has been directed by David Wnendt. The movie also stars Christoph Maria Herbst, Fabian Sawatzki and Katja Riemann

The movie is based on the equally popular book by Timur Vermes.
