The next episode of NCIS will have a bit of a Halloween theme since Halloween is nearing closer, but it will also be a bit heart-wrenching!

Who Will Tony DiNozzo Reunite With This Season On 'NCIS'?

The sixth episode of the current season of the hit CBS series is called Viral and according to the press release the team will investigate the tragic death of a petty officer, which mimics the M.O. of a local serial killer. That means Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop (Emily Wickersham), Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the rest of the team will have to figure out if this latest death is the serial killer's doing or a copycat's doing.

Also in this episode, viewers will get to see Timothy McGee's (Sean Murray) girlfriend Delilah (Margo Harshman) return. The couple will be learning the ins and outs of compromising in their relationship as they consider living together.

Which 'NCIS' Characters Will Be Part Of An 'All Girl Scene' Together?

The NCIS YouTube channel shared a preview of the episode, which is actually directed by series regular Rocky Carroll (Director Vance on the show).

In the preview, which is below, typical Halloween-y things are shown including creepy decorative spiders and more, but the light-heartedness aside, Tony Dinohzzo (Michael Weatherly) will develop severe itchiness during the episode.

"I'm itchy. I'm irritated. And I have a gun," he tells someone in what looks like the interrogation room, but prior to that he is seen in multiple scenes scratching himself a lot.

Then the preview slams viewers with the heart wrenching part; a bomb exploded in a Dubai hotel. Bishop is seen telling Gibbs that her husband Jake (Jamie Bamber) was staying there.

"Go home," Gibbs tells her, but she counters, "I'm not going to wait around for a 'we regret to inform you' call."

Bishop even has tears streaming down her face.

NCIS airs on Tuesdays on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
