Kim Kardashian confessed that expecting her first child was a surprise to her because she had struggled to become pregnant.

Kardashian, 32, shared the news during her appearance with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on "TODAY." The reality star said getting pregnant by her rapper boyfriend Kanye West was a "miracle" because like her younger sister Khloe, she also struggled with fertility issues.

"It's kind of a miracle that I even got pregnant" Kim told Gifford and Kotb on "TODAY" on Jan. 16.

When the co-anchors asked the reality star how her pregnancy experience has been so far, she shared that she has been feeling good and hasn't "been sick or anything." Morning sickness is common in the first trimester of pregnancy for most women.

Enstars reported that Kim and her sister Kourtney Kardashian appeared on "TODAY" on Jan. 15 to promote their upcoming reality spin-off show "Kourtney & Kim Take Miami." Kim shared her due date, fertility issues and whether she plans to marry Kanye West in their sitdown with Savannah Guthrie.

Kim told Guthrie that her pregnancy "took her by surprise" because she shared the same fertility issues as her younger sister Khloe.

"Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues and I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine, and I have similar issues, and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens," Kim said. "That's an exciting moment; you can plan for things like that. So I think it's just such a blessing knowing my circumstances."

Khloe has famously documented her attempts to get pregnant with her husband of three years, NBA player Lamar Odom, on "Keeping up with the Kardashians" and on their spin-off show "Khloe and Lamar."

Kim has been dating West, 35, for nine months. She told Guthrie she is expecting her baby in July.

The couple recently purchased an $11 million Bel Air mansion to raise their little one with the rest of the Kardashian family nearby.

The new season of "Kourtney & Kim Take Miami" will premiere on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 9pm EST on E!
