Bindi Irwin is undergoing some legal issues as she continues on ABC's Dancing With the Stars.

Bindi Irwin Reveals The Extent Of Her 'Dancing With the Stars' Injuries And It Ain't Pretty

Dancing With the Stars submitted Irwin's minor contract (she is 17) to an L.A. Superior Court judge, but it was rejected, according to TMZ. While her mother Terri Irwin signed paperwork that would allow Bindi to keep all the money she earns on DWTS, there were complications involving her late father, Steve Irwin.

Reportedly, the judge wants the same paperwork, that would allow Bindi to keep her money, from Steve, who died in 2006. Until then, "the court is unable to find that it is in the best interest of the minor to be bound by the terms of the contract."

Lawyers will reportedly send in the necessary paperwork in order to get the judge to sign off on Bindi's contract.

Irwin has made $230,000 thus far on Dancing With the Stars, with the money steadily increasing with each week she stays in the competition.

Bindi has been a frontrunner since the beginning of the season, receiving consistently high scores from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. She and her pro partner Derek Hough may be the ones to beat, with her bubbling personality and strong dancing skills combined with Hough's popularity as a pro.

Assuming Bindi continues to perform at a high level, she could be making much more than $230,000 by the end of the season.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
