The petition for bringing Witches of East End back for a renewal is losing signatures- but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Is It Time For Everyone To Move On From 'Witches Of East End?'

As of Wednesday, there are more than 230,000 signatures on the petition. Three days ago, there were about that many signatures with only about 400 more people signing in a matter of days.

Before, the petition was gaining thousands of signatures in just a few days and now it seems like people have given up. But perhaps, there's a reason for that.

'Witches Of East End' Petition Loses Amount Of Daily Signatures

There is a novel series called Summer of East End: Triple Moon written by Melissa de la Cruz where a number of answers are going to be given as to what would've taken place had the series been renewed for a third season. There were plenty of unanswered questions in the season finale so fans ought to be relieved to find out that there is some closure.

This could be why less people are signing away at the petition; if answers are going to be given elsewhere, then a renewal may not be necessary. But that doesn't mean it'll never happen.

According to Yahoo!, producers at Fox 21 wanted De la Cruz to keep some storylines private "just in case the show ever gets picked up again."

Some details in the novel will include if Frederick will ever return, Dash and Killian's switched bodies and what's next in Killian and Freya's romance.
