Even though Samira Wiley is on a show that embraces women of all shapes and sizes, she still faces issues in Hollywood photo shoots.

Wiley, who plays Poussey Washington on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black, recently spoke to MIMI about an awkward experience involving a magazine wanting to use Photoshop on an area of her body.

"I was at a photo shoot and one of the people who was helping me try on different clothes - I had an outfit on - and she goes, 'Oh don't worry, so-and-so is a whiz with Photoshop.' She was referencing some part of my body and I couldn't believe it!" she recalled.

"It just made me more aware of Hollywood - Oh my God, how are these girls supposed to love themselves?" she continued. "How are they supposed to feel any pride or feel like they can even achieve anything that is put in front of them?" she says. "I think that what comes along with my visibility is a responsibility, and I don't take that lightly."

Wiley noted that she wants to make sure any young person looking up to her knows that she is "unabashed" in who she is and that there is no "shame."

Even though she has short hair on Orange Is the New Black, and in her real life, she suggested that she might want to grow her hair out after the show is over.

"I am looking forward to whenever the show comes to a close-whenever that is-to be able to have another one of those new beginnings. I'm looking forward to growing my hair, and doing different things with it," she admitted.

Orange Is the New Black season 4 is expected to be released on Netflix in summer 2016.
