The two have been rumored to be getting married for the past year, but both of them have remained to themselves on where their love life will take them. And in an interview posted on The Indian Express on Saturday, the actor opened up on how he'll get married when he's ready even if his father, Rishi, happened to tie the knot when he was younger than his son's current age.

"He got married when he was 28 which is not that young," Kapoor said. "Yes, I am 33, but times have also changed now. At that time it was a given that now that you are 28, if you are working you should get married. I think when you naturally get the feeling of getting married, it should happen only then. It is an organic process. I believe in the institution of marriage. But age has nothing to do with marriage."

Kapoor admitted that he was more open about his romance when he was dating actress Deepika Padukone. But now that he's moved on, he realized it's best to keep personal stuff to himself.

"With time and age you understand that probably when you get closer to marriage, you get closer to a little bit of seriousness because it is such a spoken thing," he said. "Everyone talks and writes about it. It is better that way for our partners."
