They have fought their attraction and feelings for one another ever since he arrived back in Salem, but a combination of the situations they've been handling and a circumstance of being locked in a hospital supply closet will finally bring Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) to a romantic mindset on Days of Our Lives. 

Belle Reveals The Reason For Her Divorce

The two have struggled since Steve's return because of his determination to find Bo, who he insisted was still alive. However, after he returned Bo to Salem, the victory was short-lived—Bo died of a brain tumor not long after. In addition he and Kayla have been dealing with an unknown enemy, who keeps texting them with cryptic messages and appears to be a threat to them and their son, Joey (James Lastovic).  

However, after a meeting at the hospital, where Steve followed his ex-wife into the supply closet while they continued to talk, their son actually locked them in the closet-and now, they are being forced to finally confront their true feelings and the attraction that never really died between them.  

Belle and Claire Arrive In Salem With Unexpected News

While locked in the closet, they will finally give in and things will quickly turn romantic for the pair as they finally stop denying how they feel and letting other obstacles stand in their way.  

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
