As the saying goes, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. And that's probably what Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are doing: The couple have been very quiet on their social media accounts lately, sparking rumors that they might be stepping away from the spotlight after all the criticism they've received for their missionary work in Central America.

Jill was heavily criticized for "throwing the first stone" at her Instagram followers when she posted a passage about being careful about what you say. She captioned her post with, "A good reminder from scripture! Don't just let words come out of your mouth when they aren't edifying...they can't be taken back! #ephesians429."

Her followers didn't take the criticism too lightly, as they slammed her for being a hypocrite. She and her husband, Derick, have been heavily criticized for using fan donations for their own personal use, even though they claim to be using the money for their missionary work in El Salvador. Many fans have noted that the couple has failed to show any proof of their work, questioning what kind of "work" they are supposedly doing.

Some comments from followers included, "Questioned by donors the Dillards have repeatedly been asked about their ministering. What are you doing, how are you ministering, who are you ministering to? Lots of pics of food, the baby, and Derick so far but not ministering. There's a big difference between socializing and ministering."

Another critic wrote, "Their 'ministry' is a 501 (c)3 charity. Any tax paying citizen has a right to ask."

So far, neither Jill nor Derick have made any comments or documented any of their ministry work on their social media accounts or their official web site. Keep up with Enstars for all the latest news on the entire Duggar family right here.
