Irwin spoke of how her body began breaking down as the season went along.

"For me, I had a hard time, just because after a few months of dancing seven days a week, six hours a day, your body starts to fall apart on you," she revealed.

She continued her radio tour with an appearance on Nova 96.9's Fitzy & Wippa.

"I only lost like three toenails. It's all right - I might not dance for a little while until my body has healed but it was so much fun," Irwin said. She explained that she now has "new appreciation for dancers worldwide. It was such an amazing experience and so much fun behind the scenes."

Irwin was a frontrunner from the beginning of Dancing With the Stars this season and continued to excel throughout the competition. She and her professional partner Derek Hough actually broke a record this season for most perfect scores from the judges, with eight. She is also tied for the youngest celebrity to win Dancing With the Stars, at 17.

Dancing With the Stars returns for a new season Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
