It is a commonly known fact that One Direction's only Irish member, Niall Horan, does not have any ink like his bandmates and even former bandmate Zayn Malik.

Unfortunately for Horan, the possibility of getting inked became really real thanks to The Late Late Show host James Corden's game idea of "Tattoo Roulette," which brought the Irish lad extremely close to having a tattoo.

One Direction has been doing plenty of promo in support of their latest album, Made In The A.M., which is why they appeared on Corden's show.

In the video below, the intense and nerve-wracking game takes place, which even has the host sweating since he doesn't seem fond of needles either (we don't blame him or Horan!).

"It's a game that I'm already regretting thinking of," Corden dished before the game kicked off.

Corden then explained the way the game works, in which each member of One Direction as well as Corden will select a red box one by one and whoever winds up with the box that has "Tattoo" written in it will have to get a tattoo. The catch is that if a 1D member gets that box they have to have "Late Late" tattooed, but if Corden were to wind up with the unlucky box he'd get "1D" tattooed on himself.

Horan got pretty squirmy on stage as the explanation behind the game got explained.

"I'm regretting the fact that you thought of this game too," Horan told Corden with a nervous laugh, adding, "I don't like this."

Horan was so anxious his hands were shaking! He was up first to select his box. His bandmates, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, then each went up in that respective order to select a box each.

The suspense built as Payne opened his box and was found "Safe," followed by Tomlinson and Corden having the same luck.

Corden's reaction to being safe was priceless, but it left Horan riddled with more nerves as he grabbed his hair. Plus, the Irish musician looked like he was on the verge of tears as his face reddened. That led to Styles giving him a comforting hug. Styles then opened his box and was the unlucky one in the bunch, having to get a tattoo, which led to Horan's celebration!

Imagine if Horan wound up with the "Tattoo" box! We wonder if he would have gone through with it.
