Beyonce's Super Bowl performance already had Twitter, Facebook and the entire Internet in a frenzy, and new reports suggest the singer flashed a symbol revealing her involvement in a secret society called  "Illuminati."

While performing "Independent Women" alongside Destiny's Child group members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, the 31-year-old Houston native flashed the triangle symbol with her hands, according to reports.

This is not the first time the word "Illuminati" has been associated with the "Love on Top" singer. In 2011, when Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z gave birth to their now-1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, theories surfaced around the toddler's name. The Huffington Post reported that "Blue Ivy" symbolized an anagram for the Latin name "Eulb Yv," which some claimed to be Latin for "Lucifer's daughter."

Some said Blue stands for "Born Living Under Evil" and "Ivy" stands for "Illuminati's Very Youngest." Those theories left many to believe the couple were members of a secret satanic cult.

International Business Report noted, however, that there is no indication that the words "Eulb Yv" claimed to be a reference to Lucifer's daughter have any meaning.

"Illuminati" is a group founded by Adam Weishaupt, a law professor in Bavaria, according to  Discovery News. Weishaupt claimed he had been given mysterious knowledge by a "higher source" than God. The "Illuminati" organization represents a "pyramid scheme cult," with new initiates mandated to pledge obedience to Weishaupt, and promises more knowledge and greater wisdom the more invested a member becomes.

Sources said one possibility for Beyonce flashing the diamond-like shape was to show love and represent her husband's Roc-a-fella records, which is the key symbol for the music label.

In an interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez back in 2010, Jay-Z discussed if he was connected to Satanism and "Illuminati."

"I don't know where it came from, I don't know where it started," Jay Z said. "No not me. Never done that before. Why in the world would I do that? That's retarded."
