New York Fashion week began Feb. 7, kicking off hundreds of fashion shows where designers will present their upcoming collections for the Fall 2013 season. Below is the schedule for the Thursday and Friday shows. Check back Friday for a full schedule of the weekend's lineup.

Designers began previewing their looks in New York City even before Fashion Week began.

The 2013 Red Dress Collection Fashion Show was held on Wednesday with celebrities strutting the runway and benefits from the show going to help fight heart disease, the No. 1 killer of women today. The Red Dress was created as a symbol for heart disease awareness and the show was at the Hammerstein Ballroom, featuring female celebrities from around the world. Among the models that walked was reality star Jillian Michaels, Kelly Osbourne, Toni Braxton, Gabby Douglas and Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

On Wednesday, designer Prabal Gurung in collaboration with Target held a launch party to preview items from a limited-time collection created by the designer and sold at retail Target locations starting Feb. 10. The collection of women's clothes and accessories, including handbags, shoes and jewelry, consists of more than 90 pieces and ranges in price from $19.99 to $199.99 for apparel and $12.99 to $39.99 for accessories.

Also on Wednesday, NEO by Adidas held a fashion show showcasing its first ever collection created with the help of Selena Gomez, who serves as the brand's ambassador.
