Hades Has A 'Surprising Connection' To A 'Once Upon a Time' Character

For fans wondering if Hook would still be a Dark One by the time Once Upon a Time rolled around again in March, the answer is a definite no. OUAT co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz spoke with The Hollywood Reporter this month about what to expect from Hook, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and the rest of the gang in the spring.

"I would say he's gone through a lot, as has Emma, as have all of them, so no one's the same. But if you're asking if he's still dark, then no--that was handled in the finale," Horowitz confirmed. For added emphasis, Kitsis explained, "Yes, all of the darkness was given to Gold [Robert Carlyle]."

Will Jamie Dornan Return For The 100th 'Once Upon a Time' Episode?

As for the rules of the underworld, Kitsis and Horowitz teased that whether people can leave or die for good down there will be revealed by Cora (Barbara Hershey).

"The rules of the underworld--what it means to be there, whether you can leave, how you can leave, where you go..." Horowitz began.

"Are going to be explained by our favorite, favorite tour guide of the underworld, and her name is Cora," Kitsis finished.

Cora is essentially the "mayor" of the underworld in that "She definitely has the place--well, she understands the place, yeah," said Kitsis.

Once Upon a Time returns Sunday, March 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
