Tom Hardy had something to say to the journalist who trashed him on Twitter- and it's not pretty.

Tom Hardy Spotted Filming For New Drama Series

Last week, a HitFix critic named Drew McWeeny took to his social media page to post a series of tweets about an interview that apparently got canceled. The guy was definitely not happy about the actor's behavior for a press junket and wasn't afraid to write it out.

Believe it or not, Hardy, himself, ended up responding to McWeeney with a letter posted on Vulture on Wednesday. Hardy writes his apologies and mentions that he was "unaware" that anyone was waiting for an interview that day, but then added some sassiness.

"Someone somewhere must have thought putting it on me was a lot easier than losing their journalist relations for the ongoing junkets and multiple movies that are pending," the message says. "I wish I would have napped to be honest."

Hardy added that was told from Fox that McWeeny wasn't told the interview was canceled, but things were running behind schedule. And if the journalist had just waited, then he wouldn't have had anything to worry about.

The actor really lets McWeeny have it from here.

"Resisting the urge to dare you to say what you 'rant tweeted' so publicly, to my face next time we meet, which I doubt you have the balls to do; I want to apologize regardless on behalf of those that misled the both of us. That isn't cool. At all. Neither were your tweets. But that's by the by."
