Tom Hardy is looking more historic these days as he was spotted filming for his latest project.
On Tuesday, Daily Mail posted photos of the actor as he was filming for the drama series Taboo. In a couple snapshots, Hardy was wearing a brown cloak and kept up with his dramatic smoldering features.
In another shot, Hardy was on a horse with a hood over his head, giving mysterious insight to what he's going to bring to this series.
Check out the photos here.
Taboo is about James Keziah Delaney (Hardy) who builds up a shipping empire in the 1800s. Leo Bill (Alice in Wonderland) and David Hayman (Sid and Nancy) will appear as well.
Hardy has had quite a remarkable year with a number of popular films including Mad Max and Legend. In fact, Buzzfeed wrote a column on all the actor's achievements in 2015, one of them including his comments on having more roles for women in movies.
In one interview, he said, "I think that writing for women and films for women, there could be much better material out there and could be advanced a little more, especially today, you know. It'd be interesting to take crime-genre and replace men's parts and have women play them. And not even question it. Just go."
Hardy will be seen in the movie The Revenant, which hits theaters on January 8, 2016.
