Don wasn’t kidding when he said he had to make a grand gesture for his longtime girlfriend Ashley on VH1’s Black Ink Crew: Chicago.

Don meets up with Ashley after the huge showdown between him and Charmaine on the yacht; which ended with Ashley finding out the truth about what really happened when Don cheated on her earlier this season. But now that everything is out, he’s hoping to get back into her good graces for the long haul.

Were Don & Ashley Secretly Engaged On ‘Black Ink Crew: Chicago’?

It doesn’t take long for Ashley to break down crying as she realizes that there is a chance Don could never change. Don tries to convince her, “I love you with all my heart.” But Ashley isn’t making it easy.

“Not only do I hurt. I feel disrespected.”

Don steps up his game even more and said, “I vow to be with you forever. I can’t lose you. I really want you to know that you’re my world.”

Don starts to tear up as well as he reminds Ashley why they moved back to his hometown of Chicago to begin with.

“I wanted you to know I love you.”

Then he puts a ring on the table and offers up what could be an awkward proposal.

“I really want you to put this on your finger because I can’t lose you. I just really want to know if you will marry me and be with me forever.”

Ashley definitely looks shocked but she’s not so quick to give Don the answer he’s looking for.
