The 23-year-old has always been a little goofy (such as sticking her tongue out a lot), but her antics on and off stage have become more provocative over the years as she transitioned from Disney Channel sweetheart to who she is now.

While with Disney, Cyrus was looked at as a role model without even knowing herself. Even though some minor scandals arose during her rise to fame with the network she was still meant to portray this perfect persona, but now she's as real as she can be. While some may think it's all a gimmick to have people talking, Cyrus really is just being herself.

How Did Miley Cyrus Celebrate Her 23rd Birthday?

Over the weekend she got really real on Instagram while dissing her younger self.

"I miss the old Miley," she mocked in the caption of an image of herself from when she was a teen.

She shared another image of herself from the same time period, in which she had super long hair and a glowing tan, which she absolutely detests.

"When haters say they miss the old me," she said in the caption, adding, "I look like Cousin It f-cked a clementine!"

In case you need a little help, Cousin It is a character from The Addams Family, which began as cartoons and morphed into TV series and movies. Cousin It is covered in hair.

Then a clementine is a type of orange that tends to be very vibrant in its orange color.

Cyrus deemed her younger self "Cousin Clementine" with photographic proof.

So a word of advice: people stop claiming you miss the "old" her since she has time and time again said that wasn't really her.
