The host of The Voice married his fiancee Siri Pinter last week and the two couldn't be more joyful. In a report from E! News on Monday, Daly jokingly mentioned that there was something else he expected to receive for Christmas.

"I wanted a hoverboard," he cackled. "I got a wife."

Daly then explained why he wanted his kids to see their parents tie the knot at a certain age so they could witness the reality of what was taking place.

"It was great that the kids were a bit older," he said. "They actually knew what was going on."

Daly and Pinter are parents to Jackson, 6, Etta, 3, and London, 1.

It appeared to be a small and intimate ceremony for the happy couple with just a few other family members. But as it turns out, there were relatives who didn't know what event they were actually going to.

"Our families were visiting," Daly said. "We surprised our moms."

The couple had been together for about a decade before getting married. And the reality host had mentioned to Elle that neither he nor Pinter were in a rush to make it happen.

"I think long-lasting, healthy relationships are more important than the idea of marriage," he said. "At the root of every successful marriage is a strong partnership. And that's what we have."
