Laverne Cox Reacts To Jaden Smith's Womenswear Campaign

Laverne Cox, who plays Sophia Burset on the Netflix series, revealed some vague hints about season 4 on the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday. The actress spoke with Ryan Seacrest of E! and revealed what fans should expect:

"Our brilliant creator Jenji Kohan has this amazing vision," Cox said. "We just finished shooting season 4 and we're going deeper into the issues of these women and the criminal justice system and it's getting even more real if you can believe it."

'Orange Is the New Black' Just Reaped A Bunch Of Award Nominations

The series has often dealt with corruption within the criminal justice system - particularly within the Litchfield prison itself. Cox continues to be grateful for the experience of acting alongside women of all shapes and sizes.

"I'm so grateful to be a part of this show that's changed my life and has unprecedented diversity of women on television," she said.

As for the Golden Globes, the show was nominated in Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical as was Uzo Aduba (who plays Suzanne Warren) for Best TV Supporting Actress but ended up going empty-handed on Sunday. Regardless, Cox talked about partying it up anyway.

"We always celebrate together," Cox said. "We're such an amazing family and I love love love working with these incredible women."

Orange Is the New Black season 4 is expected to drop this summer on Netflix.
