It's not Stephen Amell, but Supernatural will bring in a WWE star for the Winchesters' foray into pro wrestling.

The paranormal and The Miz will collide in episode 15. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will investigate a spat of mysterious murders this spring, and the case will loop them in with the local wrestling circuit.

Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin will play Shawn Harley, according to TV Line. A hotheaded rookie with designs on fame, the up and comer will cross paths with the hunters when his fellow wrestlers start dropping like flies.

Many fans were hoping that Arrow star Stephen Amell would find his way into the episode, particularly considering his WWE history and his close friendship with the series' leads. Unfortunately, co-executive producer Jim Michaels shot down the idea earlier in the month and we weren't surprised. Between Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, Mr. Amell has his hands full.

Before Sam and Dean can enter the ring, the brothers have a little cage match to deal with. Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) isn't the Trickster, but the Devil certainly had a little legerdemain up his sleeve in the midseason finale. When Supernatural returns on Jan. 20, Team Free Will's rescue mission will land Sam, Dean, Cas (Misha Collins), and Luci in the same hellish prison.

Supernatural airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
