Willie Nelson has received the prestigious Gershwin Prize for Popular Son; find out where to watch the special tribute on PBS tonight.

Nelson received the Gershwin Prize from the Library of Congress back in November, when the special tribute was taped, but PBS is showing it for the first time tonight. The tribute includes many artists who were inspired by the country singer.

Among artists performing at the tribute include Nelson himself, Edie Brickell, Leon Bridges, Rosanne Cash, Ana Gabriel, Jamey Johnson, Alison Krauss, Raul Malo of The Mavericks, Neil Young, Promise of the Real, Buckwheat Zydeco and Paul Simon.

Nelson performs one his 1980s songs, "Living in the Promiseland," in the special, telling the crowd:

"I think this is one of the most appropriate songs that we could do for this period in America. Many years ago, I recorded this song and I felt like this might be a good time to kind of try to bring it back."

PBS does not currently have an official live streaming service, so the only option is to watch it on the network at 9 p.m. ET/PT. However, PBS has a link to last year's special, which honored Billy Joel, online. Perhaps the Nelson special will be made available after it airs on television.
