The secrets to Callen's past are hidden in the motherland, and the agents premiere investigation into Arkady's whereabouts will finally yield fruit in a two-part episode this spring. It appears the story will kick off with episode 15, "Matryoshka."

While the team is abroad, Callen's true identity will finally bubble to the curface.

"It was always my intention to reveal Callen's identity before the series ended," Brennan told Entertainment Weekly. "We've had a lot of fun finding out who Callen is, and from where he came. I wanted the audience to have the opportunity to enjoy that moment."

The trip will also put him back in touch with Arkady's fierce daughter. Anna (Bar Paly) is undoubtedly searching for her father as well, and it sounds like the two investigations will soon collide.

"Arkady was supposed to be in one episode, but we loved Vyto," executive producer Scott Gemmell told TV Insider. "So we kept building on his relationship with Callen, and then we introduced his daughter, Anna [Bar Paly]. That'll play out in episodes 15 and 16."
