FX's American Horror Story: Hotel is over, so let's figure out which stars deserve Emmys for their performances.

How Season 6 Of 'American Horror Story' Will Break From Tradition

This season of American Horror Story featured a star-studded cast, with fresh faces and returning favorites in the mix. And each star got at least one episode to really flex their acting muscles through the course of Hotel.

American Horror Story has traditionally done very well at the Emmys over the years, with Jessica Lange picking up trophies for both Murder House and Coven, James Cromwell winning for Asylum and Kathy Bates winning for Coven. And they've racked up multiple acting nominations too, with last year's Freak Show garnering a whopping six acting noms.

Where Does 'Hotel' Fall On Your 'American Horror Story' Season Ranking?

So who deserves trophies (or at least nominations) this year? Here are our picks:

Denis O'Hare

O'Hare's soul-baring, emotional performance as hotel clerk Liz Taylor was a bright spot throughout this season. The actor had starred in three past seasons of American Horror Story prior to Hotel, but it's safe to say Liz Taylor was his breakout role. O'Hare never succumbed to broad stereotypes to play Liz, creating a wholly original character with a wry wit and a strong emotional core. O'Hare was nominated for Murder House and Freak Show, losing both times, but his performance in Hotel might just earn him gold this year.

Evan Peters

With his scene-stealing performance as hotel developer James Patrick March, Peters hasn't played such a dynamic character since Murder House. Sporting a thick Transatlantic accent, Peters played a monstrous sociopath with a penchant for murder, but his dated references and bafflement in the new world made him strangely hilarious. Peters is one of the only regulars to never be nominated for an Emmy, but we hope that changes this year.

Lady Gaga

The topic of whether Gaga can act has been debated since before we saw a single second of Hotel. While we think she had a somewhat shaky start, Gaga's skills improved quite nicely throughout the season, playing the vampiric socialite often referred to as The Countess. Stepping into a role that seemed very similar to what Lange has played in past seasons of American Horror Story, Gaga had the impossible task of following in the footsteps of a two-time Oscar winner. But we thought her flashback sequences in the episode "Flicker" were a great showcase for Gaga's skills as an actress, and she proved herself as an equal to the show's many stars.

It remains to be seen if any Hotel stars will be nominated for Emmys, but we want to know who you think deserves a nomination. Vote in our poll below:
