Lindsay Lohan will play herself in an upcoming episode of Charlie Sheen's FX sitcom Anger Management, The Associated Press reported Monday.

The actress will play a therapy patient of Sheen's and the two will develop a romantic relationship during their sessions, producer Lionsgate Television said. The respective episode is scheduled to air in April.

The two actors recently worked together in the upcoming comedy Scary Movie 5, which will also be released in April. Lohan will make her first return to television after playing the lead role in the Lifetime television special Liz & Dick that aired late in 2012. She also appears in the upcoming film The Canyons.

Anger Management airs Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET.

The two stars have a friendship away from the cameras and Sheen's publicist told TheWrap in November of 2012 that the 47-year-old gave Lohan $100,000 to help pay her taxes.

Earlier in February Lohan was spotted scoping out a location in Tribeca, N.Y., to open a trendy Mexican restuarant. The 26-year-old is scheduled to appear in court on March 18 on charges that she lied to California police about a June car crash and violated probation. She plead not guilty to three misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, lying to the police and obstructing police when her sports car crashed into a truck in Santa Monica in June 2012.

A United Kingdom-based men's website, MenKind, posted a pre-Oscars poll asking readers who they consider the least attractive actress working in the film industry today. Lohan made the top five alongside Kristen Stewart, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristen Dunst and Denise Richards. For the full list click here.
