Paris Fashion Week began Tuesday and goes until March 6. Designers showing their collections include Balenciaga, Carven, Christian Dior, Chloe, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Elie Saab. Before designers and those attending the shows moved to France, they looked at the newest designed in Milan Fashion Week, which ended Tuesday.
Collections from Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana and others showcased lots of dark palettes, masculine styles and bold accessories for the 2013-14 autumn/winter collections. Pants stayed mostly straight leg and designers played with the idea of different leather pieces - pencil skirts, minis, jackets, trenches, pants and boots.
Paris Fashion Week is the last chance for designers to debut their new lines on the runway before the next season starts. It began with New York Fashion Week from Feb. 7 - 14, moved to London for the following week, Milan and then Paris.
