May's (Ming-Na Wen) ex battled his Inhuman transformation through the first half of season 3, but his murderous side won out over and over again. Now that the good doctor is out in the world once more, viewers shouldn't expect to see Lash (Blair Underwood) shed his new personality any time soon.

"In her hope of hopes, May's hoping [Andrew can be brought back], but... I don't think it's happening," Wen teased, according to TV Line. "But I just don't know!"

Even if Garner's Jekyll and Hyde act can be reversed, his relationships will never be the same. Between kidnapping May and betraying Simmons' (Elizabeth Henstridge) trust in "Maveth," Garner's exposure to the terrigen crystals has caused a wide swath of destruction.

Agents of SHIELD will return to ABC on March 8 at 9 p.m. ET.
