It's a dark day for Whovains.

The start of February marked the end of Doctor Who's stint on Netflix and Hulu, and those fans that missed the announcement in January woke to an even worse Groundhog Day than Bill Murray.

Many believe the sudden purge indicates that the BBC is planning on launching their own streaming service. Despite this, the network still has a host of other series running on the Internet juggernauts.

The news comes hard on the heels of several major Doctor Who announcements. Clara (Jenna Coleman) is gone, showrunner Steven Moffat is on his way out, and season 10 won’t hit screens until 2017. With fans facing a yearlong hiatus, Doctor Who’s little disappearing act comes at a most unfortunate time.
