Ellen DeGeneres' Annual Oscars Predictions

Rule #1: Don't hug Ellen

Ellen seems to be one of the most approachable people on screen. It's as if you can just run to her and give her the tightest bear hug when you see her. However, you may want to hold off on the gesture when meeting the beloved host.

Audience members are told beforehand not to get too excited and hug Ellen when she calls upon them on stage. "If you get called up for a game on the Ellen Show, do not pick her up out of excitement or give her a bone-crushing hug. We were told she has a bad back," an insider said.

Guy Fieri ogles women.. a lot

There's something about Guy Fieri that makes people either love him or despise him. Somewhere in between the countless burgers and catchphrases, Guy Fieri isn't exactly focused on the food alone.

A Reddit user named akua420 revealed: "My sisters friends hubby works on editing a couple of that cook Guy somethingthatstartswithaf. Apparently all he does is hit on the women and stare at their boobs. He stresses trying I find enough [sic] non pervy scenes to put together a whole episode."

Who Made It Into American Idol's Top 24? Hollywood Week Results Are In

'Phone a Friend' isn't all that it seems

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire has been around since we learned to utter our first word. It's always a thrill to watch contestants win it (or lose it) big time. One of the show's most controversial moves was to abolish the 'phone a friend' option back in 2010.

Allegedly the people on the lifeline end up using Google to help their friend out. "I was a lifeline on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. We were prepped [...- and in this prepping there was no mention about googling. In other words, it was understood that using the 30 second window to Google the question would be acceptable," an insider explained.

Producers handpick contestants

Those who walk into the American Idol audition room aren't exactly as surprised as they seem. Apparently, the show's producers already handpick those who can appear in front of the judges.

A Reddit user said: "A friend of mine tried out for American Idol and she said it always seemed like the people wait then they get their big shot in front of the TV judges. In reality it's a ton of steps, and hours of waiting, to go through loads of intermediate judges who decide if you're either TV material, the insane or terrible people, or actually good enough to move on."

Fake hearing is in order

Judge Judy's authenticity has been questioned plenty of times. It was revealed that the show's producers pay people to become defendants - as long as they have an interesting story to tell!

"One time some friends of mine and I were on Judge Judy... [We faked] a case to try to get a free trip to LA and make a little cash while we were at it. Well.. it worked! We got flown out for free and got put in hotels for free."
