Though Bret Michaels won in the NBC series Celebrity Apprentice in the past, he was the first in the "All-Star" cast to be voted off the show on Sunday.

Donald Trump, the host of the show, had to decide between voting off La Toya Jackson or Michaels. The former Poison frontrunner was surprised and noticeably emotional as he was escorted out of the building and driven away.

An inside source told Radar, "It was a mess when Bret was told the news and filming was done. He couldn't stop crying and even the producers were trying to comfort him. No one expected him to have a meltdown like that."

The source also told Radar that Michaels believed he would win the show again after winning in the third season of Celebrity Apprentice.

The cast mates left standing include Trace Adkins, Stephen Baldwin, Lil Jon, Dee Snider, Gary Busey, Omarosa, Brande Roderick and Dennis Rodman.

According to Entertainment Weekly, All-Star Celebrity Apprentice had its lowest rated premiere for a celebrity edition of the show. The viewership reached 5.1 million.

Michaels had his own reality television show on VH1, Rock of Love with Bret Michaels, a Bachelor-style show in which women competed for his affection, which aired in 2007.
