In one of two Champions League matches set to take place on Tuesday, the Shakhtar Donetsk side will square off again Borussia Dortmund.

Shakhtar Donetsk skipper Mirea Lucescu has said that whichever club prevails in the last-16 tie will go on to advance into the final.

Although the potential achievement would count as a huge breakthrough for either squad in Europe, the performance of both clubs during the group stages earlier in the season makes Lucescu's proclamation easier to predict.

Lucescu and the opposing side's Jurgen Klopp are undoubtedly less than enthused that their sides are drawn against one another at this stage of events. However, it's more or less the German coach who was the most optimistic after securing a 2-2 draw while playing in Donetsk.

Nonetheless, Lucescu feels as though it was merely errors that stopped his team from moving ahead past the tie.

"Dortmund might be in better shape, physically. They are playing at a very high level, be it with vertical or horizontal passes, low or high balls. My team will aim to make fewer mistakes and avoid handing them any presents," he said.

"It is a very, very important match for us because this side have the opportunity of reaching something new, the quarter-finals of the Champions League," Lucescu added.
