It has been 18 long years and Rodie Sanchez gave up a lot for his job, but he may finally be able to rest easy if he can bring in Eugenie Boisfontaine's killer on the season finale of Killing Fields.

Which Suspect Do Detectives Think Is 'Afraid' Of Talking To Them?

The series' newest episode, and final for the season--airing tonight, Feb. 9--will see the detectives focus in on one big lead in the case by obtaining a subpoena for an interview according to a press release. However, Rodie will also be in danger of leaving the case behind and breaking the promise he made to Eugenie's mother so many years ago.

Enstars has an exclusive sneak peek below, which sees Rodie reflecting on the last 18 years of his life and where everything began--and looking at what he pushed away and gave up in order to try and solve the case that has eluded him for so long could cause him to consider giving it all up to focus on the family he's so severely neglected.

"I guess you can say I have trouble letting go," he says in the clip as he sits in the field where Eugenie's body was found. "Always have. Makes me feel that I'm split right down the middle."

He then goes more in depth when describing what is making him feel the way he does now, as he delves into the history of bad marriages he has behind him and the way his kids were an afterthought, which is giving him a new perspective when it comes to whether or not he should be focusing so hard on putting Eugenie's killer behind bars.

"I've made a hell of a lot of mistakes in my lifetime," he says. "I put my job before my family. I've been married six times. That's not something i'm proud of at all. Some of my wives probably wouldn't want to speak to me."

Killing Fields airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on Discovery Channel.
