Kourtney Kardashian revealed a new look on Instagram on Wednesday, March 6. The Kourtney & Kim Take Miami star posted a picture of herself with a brand hair new cut featuring bangs and lighter highlights.

The reality star captioned the photo on Instagram: "Glam party with @makeupmatthew and Peter Savic cut me some bangs!"

Peter Savic is a celebrity hairstylist who works with all three Kardashian sisters - Kourtney, Kim and Khloe. He opened about Kourtney's transformation in a recent interview.

"It was my idea," Savic told Us Weekly. "I've been suggesting bangs to her for a long time and also to lighten her hair. The picture on Instagram isn't that accurate! It looks much nicer in person. Kourtney looks great with bangs. The bangs aren't super heavy, but they're not too light," he added.

Savic said that he was allowed to give Kourtney a new look because she trusts him completely and is very open-minded.

"Kourtney is very open-minded and that's what I love about her! She's always willing to try new things. She trusts me."

The haircut wasn't the only thing that the mother-of-two let him to do with her hair - she also let him lighten it.

"Her hair color is lighter - lighter on the ends and medium-brown roots. It's a mixed dark honey beige blonde."

Last month, LeAnn Rimes got a new haircut with bangs as well as first lady Michelle Obama for her birthday in January.

Khloe, 28, also stepped out with a new change to her hair when she attended a basketball game on Sunday. Khloe revealed a longer hairstyle with bleached blonde tips and darker roots with a curlier texture than previously. The style is dramatically different than the styles she wore when she co-hosted The X-Factor with Mario Lopez in November and December. Khloe's husband, Lamar Odom plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.
