Liverpool vs Tottenham (Spurs) takes place in the English Premier League on Sunday in what should be a huge and exciting clash between two teams that love to play attacking football.

Tottenham’s season is quickly turning into one of their best; they have now snatched third spot on the EPL away from Chelsea and should they win today they could close the gap with Manchester City in second to just two points - although City would have a game in hand, but having the points in the bag is always preferable at this time in the season.

Liverpool meanwhile will be looking to get into the top five places right now at least - and take a Europa League cup spot. They have 42 points from their 28 games, a vast improvement since their early season slump. They currently lie in 8th place and are 5 points behind 5th placed Arsenal.

In team news Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge and Martin Skrtel are available for today’s game after recovering from injury.
For Tottenham, useful winger Aaron Lennon is doubtful after suffering a hamstring injury against Inter Milan. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Adebayor returns to the squad after missing Thursday's game because of a knee problem.

Tottenham have won four of their last five games against Liverpool, losing the other game - with no draws between the pair in that period.

In May 2011 Spurs won 2-0 at Anfield, however, that is their only win in their last 18 Premier League games an Anfield, meaning Liverpool probably remain favorites for today’s game to at least gain a draw. However, Spurs are showing some incredible form of late and their 3-0 demolition of Inter Milan will have given them even more confidence coming into this tie.
